Dear Kat and Geri,
“I received your book, “AND IT WAS SO” in yesterday’s mail. Very impressive! The quality of the content and printing is exceptional! As I took a few moments this morning before breakfast to quickly peruse it, I found myself very intrigued and am anticipating a more careful reading as my schedule allows. The Bible passages and graphic designs are well chosen. It has a simplicity in one sense, yet very profound at the same time. This book will both edify Christians and hopefully be an effective witness to those still needing to learn about God’s grace and salvation through Jesus Christ. I first learned about this book a few weeks ago when I conducted the service at your church in Suttons Bay when filling in for your Pastor’s vacation. I quickly ordered it expecting to be very satisfied, and it was so!
In Christ,
Pastor Paul Schneider
“I have had the complete joy of reading and absorbing this beautifully illustrated and written book! The vibrant and passionate illustrations on each page profoundly captured the undeniable beauty and mystery of creation! The inspirational, connective and reflective poetry is scripture based and points to the Trinity, Creator of the Universe! I love that you could read it in any sequence too! It was truly enjoyable cover to cover….very engaging and informative for all ages! Your book is a genuine keepsake and will captivate the reader for years to come!
I especially enjoyed searching for the Alpha Omega symbols and reading the Sacred Snacks! I gained a new perspective on many things!”
Thank you ~ Mother & Daughter team for this outstanding gift of literature!

Hardcover Book Description
And it Was So, based on Genesis, is written and illustrated to appeal to children, but its unique style invites all ages to appreciate and enjoy the Biblical text, multi-level triangular poetry and detailed illustrations. All reveal God’s wisdom in the sequence of creation, the interdependent universe and relationships between nonliving substance and living organisms.
The three lines, of each verse, may be read in any order, yet maintain the poetic flow and the intended meaning. Even in our private Technological World, And It Was So encourages the fun of reading out loud, sharing thoughts, seeking answers, building face to face dialog and inter-generational relationships. Plus, growing in wisdom and faith through God’s inspired Word.
Author and illustrator took the creative license to present codependent interactions between the environment and living organisms, between living creatures and the human race, between man and woman and between mankind and the Creator of the flawless universe.
Both poetry and art work together to reveal a gracious and orderly God who fashioned an orderly and consistent universe that enables exploration and understanding of our physical and spiritual worlds. All this God has freely given to mankind to appreciate and care for.
Waiting to be discovered, in each illustration, is the hidden Alpha and Omega (beginning and end) symbolizing the unseen but ever-present eternal God. The Sacred Snacks, in back of the book, provide additional information and scientific discoveries that older children and adults appreciate.
And It Was So, a 64-page table-top resource, bridges Biblical truth, scientific findings, and multi-generational relationships. Authored by Geri Pool, a published writer of both scientific and spiritual material and listed in Who’s Who in Education. Illustrated by Kat Dakota, an award-winning artist, graphic designer and coordinator of community art and sustains a multi-media art studio. Any age will appreciate the Scripture, rhyme, art, and mystery of And It Was So..
