Charting a site plan will get you there.
Like any design, a successful website starts with clearly defined target audience and objectives. The look, feel and style of writing play key roles. You can plug me in at any stage of the project – developing content, writing copy, designing layout, outlining site functionality and navigation to creating and deploying site to the internet.
If you need a website you can maintain from any computer anywhere in the world, I suggest a Content Management System. I have extensive experience in establishing website accounts, installing the appropriate server software and plugins for specific functionality and themes which give the site its “look”. I often provide support in searching and identifying several themes that reflect a business and then customizing the final selection to meet the requirements. I also provide training supported with job aids to get you started. Once a site is live you can take full reins or I’m always there to provide technical and creative design support when required.
Lots of options – did I hear – DakotaDoDat!

WordPress Websites:
For clients wanting to maintain their own websites, I construct and configure sites using WordPress, a popular Content Management System. After discussing the customer’s products and services, reviewing their logo and marketing materials, I search for themes that create the “look” of the site and reflect their business. Customers can search for themes but many find it daunting.
Below are links to websites I customized and configured using WordPress. I edited the CSS files, installed plugins, created menus, configured theme options, created banners and images and wrote the initial webpages. I used my photography in many of the sites. After website approval, I teach clients how to update their site using the Content Management System. I also write detailed “How To” guides to use WordPress. I continue supporting them technically and creatively. Edwards Home Furnishings is very close to deployment.
